Here is an overview of the events the Culture Club has planned.

What: Chinese Evening

When: Wednesday, 13th of April, 17.00-21.00
Where: Café Cadeau, H. C. Ørstedsvej 28, 1879 Frederiksberg
An evening hosted by Café Cadeau, giving you the wonderful possibility of tasting delicious, homemade Chinese food. There will be Chinese cake and tea as well, and all of it for a price manageable even for a poor student.

What: Friday Bar
When: Friday, 15th of April
Where: Dalgas Have campus
When: Saturday, 30th of April, 17.00-20.00
Where: Café Cadeau, H. C. Ørstedsvej 28, 1879 Frederiksberg
Another event hosted by Café Cadeau, this evening offers you the chance to experience African culture and food. Even though it is not related to Asia, it could still be a great experience.

What: Talk Night
When: Tuesday, 5th of May, 18.30-21.30 (cheap food at 17.00)
Where: Café Cadeau, H. C. Ørstedsvej 28, 1879 Frederiksberg
Well-known amongst the students of ASP, Talk Night is a chance to practice your Chinese or Japanese language skills in a relaxed setting and meet new friends or study partners at the same time. Everyone is welcome; you don’t have to be neither an ASP student nor fluent in your chosen foreign language to participate – so feel free to invite your friends as well!

What: Sakura Festival
When: 7th of May, from 10.45
Where: Langelinie Park, 2100 København Ø
The Sakura Festival is hosted by the Copenhagen Sakura Festival Committee, supported by e.g. the Japanese Embassy. It is based on the Japanese tradition Hanami (花見), meaning ”flower viewing”, where families, friends, colleagues, etc. gather under the cherry flower trees to enjoy the beautiful sight of their blossoming. Every year at the Sakura Festival there have been stage performances, and also stalls selling Japanese food, drinks, etc., and this year there will also be donation boxes to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, so remember to bring some cash along as they don’t accept credit card. Also, remember to bring blankets to sit on! The Culture Club will be meeting in front of The Little Mermaid at 10.45, and if you can’t be at the Festival until later, look for the ASP sign somewhere among the trees – it will be very viewable.

What: Talk Night
When: Tuesday, 30th of August, 18.30-21.30 (cheap food at 17.00)
Where: Café Cadeau, H. C. Ørstedsvej 28, 1879 Frederiksberg

Be aware that Talk Night will not be held in June and July due to exams and summer holiday. However, we will be starting up again before the new semester with a Talk Night in August (see event above). From October on, the Talk Night will be held regularly on every first Tuesday in the month.

The Culture Club will be planning even more events for us ASP students to enjoy, and among these are the Movie Nights where we will be watching Japanese and Chinese movies. However, dates have not yet been set, so keep yourself updated by joining the Culture Club group on Facebook where you can find all the above-mentioned events and new coming events as well!
