Welcome to the October issue!

In the Asian Studies Programme, the students are just starting to realize that exams will soon be at our door step and the new students are just starting to feel at home. We are moving towards red leaves, bigger jackets, bigger cups of coffee and darker mornings. However, we all survive with the thought of a fall break in week 42, giving us time for walks in the park, relaxing, seeing family and friends, and for many, going back to our home countries.

In this issue you can e.g.  get a look into what is going on in China at the moment and how they are dealing with the economic crisis, or read Emil Elgaards article about moving to Japan. This issue also holds the last article in the series of “Prostitution in China”, by Sasja Christensen.

Whatever floats your boat, we hope that you will find something interesting and worth while reading here on our pages. So put the kettle on, grab a blanket and snuggle up. Happy reading.
